Journey to the Center of the Earth
In creating my audio version of this Jules Verne novel, I began with the translation by Jessie Campbell, published by George Routledge in 1876, and revised and corrected it. My updated version was published in book form in October 2023 by BearManor Media. The following PDF is the Afterword from the book. It describes the kinds of changes I made to Campbell’s translation and the reasons for making them.

In Progress: Doctor Ox and Other Stories
This is another revised translation, based on the original 1874 English version by George Makepeace Towle. The anthology includes A Fantasy of Doctor Ox as well as three earlier, pre-Extraordinary Voyages by Verne: Master Zacharius, A Drama in the Air, and Wintering in the Ice, as well as an essay by Paul Verne (Jules’s brother) about an expedition to Mont Blanc in the Alps.
